Sanguita Popatlal – Profile

Sanguita Popatlal is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as the Chief Director of the Corporate Governance Unit in the Office of the President and Cabinet in Zimbabwe. With a strong educational background, she holds a postgraduate LLB degree that has equipped her with the legal expertise necessary for her career.

Her professional journey began at Bowman Gilfillan Inc., where she completed her articles as a candidate attorney and later became an associate in the employment law department. After three years, she transitioned to the commercial law department, where she discovered her true passion. She briefly worked at Bell Dewar Inc. before joining the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) as a legal advisor, contributing her skills to various projects.

In August 2011, Sanguita joined Omnia Group (Pty) Ltd as a legal advisor, focusing on the mining explosives division and chemicals distribution. Over five years, she played a vital role in providing legal support to the group. Since 2017, she has operated as a legal consultant for private companies and lawyers, currently contracting with Ironvault (Pty) Ltd as a risk advisor.

With expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance services, Sanguita is dedicated to advancing governance standards and ensuring legal compliance in her current capacity.
